The number cited above is common for all Celebrity ships... Please be certain that your family members know which ship you will be on and your stateroom number... I’ve tried that phone number and can never get anyone to pick up. The recording states a 30 minute hold time but I waited on hold much longer than that and finally had to hang up.
You just call Celebrity hotline or customer services and they can give you a direct dial number, it is expensive as its a satellite number. If you have an internet package, you can keep in touch via FB messenger or whatever app you like. Also check with your cell phone provider for travel rates. We keep in touch with our family members on a daily basis when we're traveling via those two options.

The cost is $7.95 USD a minute and can be charged to American Express®, MasterCard®, Visa®, Discover® or Diners Club®. From outside the U.S. additional long distance charges will also apply.
We know this works because we had to use it on our cruise last month. The travel team contacted the ship and resolved everything in an expeditious manner (10 min.). Had to do this time to time with some other lines. Today, all ships are constantly in contact with land for a whole load of reasons.
